Youth Open Art

Two Hour Sessions from 4:00pm-6:00pm. $35/two hours. Ages 7 and up. Parents can sign up with their child too! You pick your subject matter and medium each day, and I’ll help you on each step. 

Need a safe place for your child to be after school? Express It Arts now offers an easy, safe and affordable after school program with bus drop-off right at Express It Arts studio, available from Memorial, Nottingham, H.O. Smith and Library only, starting at 2:30, ending at 6:00. If you’d like to come in earlier, contact me and I’ll arrange it! Class Options:
1) Draw, then paint on paper or canvas. Subject matter is up to you; Pokemon, Anime, Landscapes, Nintendo Game Characters, Animals, so on. Bring in an image or we can go online for references. 

2) Make a small clay sculpture out of air-dry clay. They will take it home to paint it…or come back again to finish it. I also have regular clay, a wheel and a kiln here – Add $10 for supplies for the regular clay option. Regular clay takes 2 sessions to complete.

3) Make a small mosaic circle or square or birdhouse, approx. 10″- Add $10 at checkout for supplies. Takes 1-2 sessions to complete.

4) Learn to sew – Bring in your own material OR use mine for an extra fee. Machines are available to use here. I have some beginner patterns to use – Add $10 at checkout for supplies. Takes 1 session to make a small plush mouse and 1-3 sessions to finish a project like pajamas or a skirt or bag.

7) Work with beads and wire and make your own jewelry – Add $10 at checkout for supplies.

All supplies included, except please add a $10 fee for specialty projects like epoxy art, mosaics, clay, sewing or jewelry. If you become a “regular”, I will give you a list of supplies to purchase and you would get a locker to store them in.
