Beginner Sewing

Signup for Art Camp for a single session. Drop off at 10:00am-Pickup at 2:30pm. Please pack them a bag lunch and drink. For Age 8 and up for this single event.

  1. Beginner Sewing. Kids can make any round shape item like an avocado, melon, mouse, or anything else students can think of. We’ll be sewing details by hand and assembling it on the sewing machine while I spot them.
  2. We’ll break for our bag lunch & drink (please provide) and outdoor playtime.
  3. We’ll continue finishing up our sewing project, stuffing and putting final touches on it.

Sign up by the day or for the whole week.

Make a Clay Figurine & Mini Paint project

Signup for Art Camp for one session or Monday-Thursday. Drop off at 10:00am-Pickup at 2:30pm. Please pack them a bag lunch and drink. For age 7 and up for this single event.

  1. We’ll make a small clay figurine using ‘hand-building’ techniques with real firing clay. Then they can glaze it (paint with glaze). I will fire it during the week and give to the kids on Friday of this week. All my materials are food safe.
  2. We’ll break for our bag lunch & drink (please provide) and outdoor playtime.
  3. Then we’ll be doing a mini paint project as a group

Youth to Adult Open Art

Two Hour Sessions from 10:30am-2:30pm. $35/two hours. Ages 7 and up.

Teen-Adults can sign up for the 12:30pm-2:30pm slot ONLY.

Parents can sign up with their child too! You pick your subject matter and medium each day, and I’ll help you on each step.

Class Options:
1) Draw, then paint on paper or canvas. Subject matter is up to you; Pokemon, Anime, Landscapes, Nintendo Game Characters, Animals, so on. Bring in an image or we can go online for references.

2) Make a small clay sculpture out of air-dry clay. They will take it home to paint it…or come back again to finish it. I also have regular clay, a wheel and a kiln here – Add $10 for supplies for the regular clay option.

3) Make a small mosaic mirror, star, moon or birdhouse, approx. 10″- Add $10 at checkout for supplies.

4) Paint a birdhouse – Add $10 at checkout for supplies.

5) Learn to sew – Bring in your own material OR use mine for an extra fee. Machines are available to use here. I have some beginner patterns to use – Add $10 at checkout for supplies. Takes 1 session to make a small plush mouse and 1-3 sessions to finish a project like pajamas or a skirt or bag.

6) Work with beads and wire and make your own jewelry – Add $10 at checkout for supplies.

All supplies included, except please add a $10 fee for specialty projects like  mosaics, clay, sewing or jewelry. If you become a “regular”, I will give you a list of supplies to purchase and you would get a locker to store them in.

This class is for learning how to draw and paint using different mediums such as acrylics and oils. We’ll be doing landscapes, flowers and animals. If you have a specific idea you’d like to work on, please bring in a photo of it and I can help you work on that. Supplies are provided at first, if you become a regular, a list of supplies will be given to you so you can bring them to class.

Express It Arts now offers an easy, safe and affordable after school program with bus drop-off right at Express It Arts studio, available from Memorial, Nottingham, H.O. Smith and Library only, starting at 2:30, ending at 6:00. If you’d like to come in earlier, contact me and I’ll arrange it! Class Options:
