Saturday Art YOUTH-ADULT

Learn to draw, then paint using watercolors, acrylic, watercolor pencils and “inking” or oil painting if desired. This class is for young adult-adult.

Or choose from one of these options:

  • Learn the basics of using Clay, use Air Dry clay. (No fee for 1″-2″ figurine)
  • Make a mosaic mirror or tray (+$10 for supplies)
  • Make a necklace, learn how to string beads. Take this home to keep (+$10 for supplies)
  • Or learn to sew. (+$10 for supplies) Start out on an easy pillow or plush avocado or pea.
  • Make 3D art out of plaster. (No fee)

Youth Open Art-Any Project

Pick any 2 hours between 3:00-6:00. You pick your subject matter and medium each day and I’ll help you on each step.

Choose from:
1) Draw, then Paint on paper or canvas. Subject matter is up to you; Pokemon, Anime, Landscapes, Nintendo, Animals, so on. Bring in an image or we can go online for references. 

2) Make a small clay sculpture out of air dry clay. They will take it home to paint it…or come back again to finish it. Purchase your own air dry clay here for $10.  (*I do have regular clay, a wheel and a kiln here. Please talk to me if interested in this, add $10 for supplies for this option)

3) Make a small mosaic mirror, star, moon or birdhouse, approx. 10″, add $10 at checkout for supplies. (usually takes 1-2 classes to finish)

4) Paint a birdhouse, add $10 at checkout for supplies.

5) Learn to sew, bring in your own material or else add $10 at checkout and use mine. Machines are available to use here. I have some beginner patterns to use. (usually takes 1-3 classes to finish a project)

6) Work with beads and wire and make your own jewelry, add $10 at checkout for supplies.

All supplies included, except $10 fee for mosaics, sewing or jewelry. If you become a “regular”, I will give you a list of supplies to purchase and you would get a locker to store them in. 

Snacks and water provided.

Age 6 and up.

Masks may be required if CDC recommends it, please bring it along.

Tuesday Art Mosaic Planter

Come in and do a mosaic on a pot using colored glass and glass beads. All supplies included. If we have time, we’ll add soil and some seeds. You can take it home to use as a starter planter.

Friday Art – Any Project

You pick your subject matter and medium each day and I’ll help you on each step.

Choose from:

Friday Draw & Paint or Clay

Follow along with me to draw then paint Harry Potter and Hedwig or any owl, if you prefer! I’ll show you how. You can also make a clay owl if you rather, I’m flexible.

Thursday Draw & Paint

Wednesday Open Art

**I didn’t get many sign ups, so I’m making this an ‘open art’ class now so that they can do whatever they want.

If you want…Design a painted sign. (They can do this Stranger Things sign or any 2 or 3 words you want: Examples: Kelly’s Room, Steven’s Fort, Love Life! I Love You). **Please email those two words they want to use**.) We’ll design it on my cricket, then we’ll stencil them on. Please email the text they’d like to do so I can prepare.

I have wood, slate, canvas or thick paper here, or they can bring their own surface to use. (Michaels and Hobby Lobby have lots of wood surfaces that would work for a sign.) Contact me with any questions.

Water or Apple Juice & Crackers provided.

Age 8 to Adult

Wednesday Sewing

Drop off a 12:30 and pick up at 2:30. 

Learn to sew! Choose to make either an avocado, a pineapple, a pea OR a cat, dog, rabbit or bear shown on July 21. Class is for boys or girls. They can make a simple pillow if they just want to come for 1 session. Anything else will take 2 signups dates. You can signup for any other sewing class on the calendar to finish their project. Please type in messages if they want to make a pillow or stuffed animal.

I’ll teach them how to lay out and cut out the pattern, sew and stuff their creation. Sewing machines provided here.

Juice or Water and crackers are provided.

Price doesn’t include supplies, please add supply fee for the first sewing session.
