Art Gallery Showcase: Works by Denise Thompson at The Generations Gallery

On Monday, November 17, 2025 from 3:00-5:00pm, I’ll be showing artwork at The Residence on Freeman Lake, 4 Technology Drive, Chelmsford MA.

Lots of works will be on display, and available for purchase at affordable prices. Stop by and start your holiday shopping! Open to all. Snacks and beverages will be available, and there is free parking on site.

Veteran’s Day Classes in Session

I’ll also be having two different art sessions on Tuesday, November 11th for kids and adults on Veteran’s Day.

10:30-12:30: Clay Hand Building to make a cute gnome using clay (or equivalent), I’ll show you how.

1:00-3:00: Paint a Painting of a Gnome (or equivalent).

Sign up for both and pack them a lunch so they can stay til 3:00!

Paint Your Pet or Any Animal

Minimum Age 6 to adults. Drop off at 1:00 and pickup at 3:00

  1. Print out a photo of the animal you’d like to paint: dog, cate, lizard, guinea pig, turtle, the size you want it. It doesn’t have to be your pet, it can even be a favorite character like pikachu or a unicorn. Or email the photo to: denise@expressitarts.com
  2. We’ll trace it out on our paper or canvas.
  3. They’ll paint it and we’ll help you every step of the way! 
  4. Extra time can be used for various other small projects: make a magnet, paint on a rock, or play with a little clay.

Paint a Bottle

Bring in your favorite bottle or vase (clear, dark blue or brown work nicely) Paint on a bottle using paints. I’ll have ideas here for you to work from.
Purchase a bottle stopper that lights up at checkout if desired to light them up for display!

Teen-Adult Art

This class is for learning how to paint using different mediums such as acrylics and oils. We’ll be doing landscapes, flowers and animals. If you have a specific idea you’d like to work on, please bring in a photo of it and I can help you work on that. We can also use other mediums like clay, mosaics or sewing. Supplies are provided at first, if you become a regular, a list of supplies will be given to you so you can bring them to class.

Water available.

Youth Holiday Art Camp

Sign up for the times you want. If they will be staying for many sessions, please pack food for them. Stay from one session to all day! If you want them to stay all day, contact me and we’ll work out a deal for you. Encourage a friend to sign up with them! You pick your subject matter and medium each day and I’ll help you on each step. 

Choose from:
1) Draw, then Paint on paper or canvas. Subject matter is up to you; Holiday Scene, Pokemon, Anime, Landscapes, Nintendo, Animals, so on. Bring in an image or we can go online for references. 

2) Make a small clay sculpture out of air dry clay. They will take it home to paint it…or come back again to finish it. Purchase your own air dry clay here for $10.  (*I do have regular clay, a wheel and a kiln here. Please talk to me if interested in this, add $10 for supplies for this option-real clay takes 2 sessions to complete)

3) Make a small mosaic mirror, star, moon or birdhouse, approx. 10″, add $10 at checkout for supplies. (usually takes 1-2 classes to finish)

4) Paint a birdhouse, add $10 at checkout for supplies.

5) Learn to sew, bring in your own material or else add $10 at checkout and use mine. Machines are available to use here. I have some beginner patterns to use. (usually takes 1-3 classes to finish a project)

6) Work with beads and wire and make your own jewelry, add $10 at checkout for supplies.

All supplies included, except $10 fee for mosaics, sewing or jewelry. If you become a “regular”, I will give you a list of supplies to purchase and you would get a locker to store them in.

Age 6 and up. *5 can attend, may need a chaperone to sit nearby. If this extra person would like to do an artwork as well, please add another ticket.

Masks may be required if CDC recommends it. If you’ve been vaccinated, you don’t need one, but please bring it along if not.

Field Trip Andres Sculpture Park & Everyone’s Invited!

*This ticket is only if you are dropping them off at Andres Sculpture park and picking them up at 2:00 there. If you are going with them, then it’s free, just meet us there.* I have room in my car for 2 kids, possibly 3, buy your ticket and add the carpool ticket. (You’ll need to sign a waiver for the carpool)

Drop off your child(ren) at Andres Sculpture Park 98 Route 13  Brookline, New Hampshire, 03033. They must be age 6 or older. I’ll watch them the whole time, just pick them up at 1:00 pm in the parking lot there. Fee is for their admission and for me to watch them for 3 hours.

Anyone is invited! Make sure to pack them a lunch, large water bottle and bug spray inside a backpack and wear sneakers, NO flip flops allowed. This is a small ski mountain, so they need to be prepared to do a 2 mile hike. We stop a lot to look at sculpture artwork.

Directions

From Manchester take 101 West to Route 13 South. Travel 6.5 miles south to the AIA Center & Parking on your right.

From Nashua take Route 130 West through Hollis to Brookline Center. After the Library turn left on Bond Street for one block. The AIA Center & Parking is nearly opposite Bond Street at Route 13.

OR Paint a Pumpkin

Please bring in a pumpkin to paint any way they want, then they can decorate with pipe cleaners, feathers and sequins that I have here. Bring in any decorating accessories you’d like to add. (I will also have a few extra pumpkins if needed, just add a $5  Supply Fee.)

Kids can dress in their costumes and parents can donate any snacks for a Halloween Party atmosphere.

I will have apple cider and water and a Halloween snack!
