Youth Open Art

Free – $35Two Hour Sessions from 2:00pm-6:00pm. $35/two hours. Ages 7 and up. Parents can sign up with their child too! You pick your subject matter and medium each day, and I’ll help you on each step.
Need a safe place for your child to be after school? Express It Arts now offers an easy, safe and affordable after school program with bus drop-off right at Express It Arts studio, available from Memorial, Nottingham, H.O. Smith and Library only, starting at 2:30, ending at 6:00. If you’d like to come in earlier, contact me and I’ll arrange it! Please provide a drink for your child, and snack if you wish. Do not bring them in if they are getting or are sick. If they have a runny nose or are coughing, I will ask them to put on a mask. You can use your your credit another day.
Choose from:
1) Draw, then Paint on paper or canvas. Subject matter is up to you; Pokemon, Anime, Landscapes, Nintendo, Animals, so on. Bring in an image or we can go online for references.
2) Make a small clay sculpture out of air dry clay. They will take it home to paint it…or come back again to finish it. (*I do have regular clay, a wheel and a kiln here. Please talk to me if interested in this, add $10 for supplies for this option-real clay)
3) Make a small mosaic circle, square or birdhouse, approx. 10″, add $10 at checkout for supplies.
4) Learn to sew, bring in your own material or else add $10 at checkout and use mine. Machines are available to use here. I have some beginner patterns to use. (usually takes 1 class to make a small plush mouse and 1-3 classes to finish a project like pajamas or a skirt or bag.
5) Work with beads and wire and make your own jewelry, add $10 at checkout for supplies.
All supplies included, except please add a $10 fee mosaics, clay, sewing or jewelry. If you become a “regular”, I will give you a list of supplies to purchase and you would get a locker to store them in.
